This type of bearing can carry great axial load, and also can accommodate a small amount of radial load as well as heavy axial load
But the magnitude of radial load should be not more than 55% of the axial load being carried
Application: self-aligning thrust roller bearings are mainly applied in hydroelectric generator, vertical motors, propeller shafts for ships, jib cranes, rolling mill roll necks
